Accessibility

Able Gear serves the disability community, so accessibility is a priority, not an afterthought. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site.

What we do

• Full keyboard operation, a skip-to-content link, and clearly visible focus.
• Readable text at 16px and up, with colour contrast that meets AA.
• Labelled form fields with clear, in-line error messages.
• Required descriptive text (alt text) on the first photo of every listing.
• A layout that works on small screens without horizontal scrolling, and respects reduced-motion settings.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never finished. We test with automated tools and by keyboard, and we keep improving. If you use a screen reader, magnifier, switch access, or any assistive technology and something does not work, we want to know.
